“According to the experts, it will be possible to repair the road in such a way that it can be used safely again before the New Year,” said Governor Anton Mattle (ÖVP). Temporary slope safety measures are currently being completed; for example, concrete barriers with fences are placed. At the same time, approximately 500 cubic meters of demolition material would have to be removed from the road to make the road passable again. The final work should be completed on Saturday morning, it was said.

Permanent slope protection starts
