After allegations of sexual harassment against the frontman of the German band Rammstein came out a few weeks ago, an alleged victim from Austria has now spoken out. The young woman is said to have been invited to Till Lindemann’s hotel room after a concert. The singer threw her onto the bed against her will, pressed her face down and punched her, according to an ORF report.
Beate H. was therefore looking forward to the opportunity to get to know the band personally as part of the “Stadion Tour”. But when she was approached by Alena M., who as a “casting manager” is looking for young girls for the concert celebrations, in a Rammstein group on social media about a concert pre-party, she had no idea that this night would be one of the worst of her life. Because the band’s lead singer had become aggressive, “Suddenly I felt tremendous pain,” said the alleged victim, whose name was changed at her request, according to orf.at.
„Lured into the hotel room with breakfast“
H. went to Lindemann’s hotel room after being personally invited by him, believing that he had the situation under control. “I’ll have breakfast upstairs right away,” he explained to her on the phone, also expressing sexual interest. Although she wasn’t interested in the latter, she ended up rooming with other women – she thought she could always say no if something happened. But that was probably a misconception.
“No” was not accepted
“I felt very uncomfortable. Suddenly he stood in front of me and said: ‘Come on, I want to have sex with you’,” said the woman in question. Then she said, “No, I don’t. Please don’t.” The singer did not accept that and replied: “Yes, you are here now.” However, H. repeated her no several times. Nevertheless, she threw Lindemann on the bed, pressed her face down and hit her. “I just saw this bed and was like, ‘Fuck, what’s happening now?'”
She was in a trance, Lindemann stopped attacking at some point. “I don’t know how long it was. It could have been thirty seconds, it could have been two minutes,” the alleged victim said. After the incident, she saw handprints on her buttocks. “He hurt me,” says H. “Then he said to me, ‘Don’t be stupid, you like it.'”
There are also images of the injuries that H. would have sustained that evening. The ORF has had this digitally forensically investigated. The expert concluded that the photos were “most likely unaltered original recordings”. No manipulation of the recording date or time could be detected.
