Just one day after the abuse of a 13-year-old in Montafon became public, the next shocking sex crime in Vorarlberg became known: as the police have confirmed, an unknown man in Feldkirch attempted to rape a seven-year-old girl.
The child was playing in a garden in front of a residential building in Feldkirch-Tisis during lunch when the man approached. Subsequently, the stranger allegedly tried to assault the seven-year-old. However, he was spotted by a passerby who immediately raised the alarm and called the police. The man immediately fled and cycled towards the Swiss border. An immediately launched large-scale manhunt, which also involved a helicopter, had no result. Police are not releasing further details for “investigative reasons”.
Perpetrator in Montafon has no migration background
In the case of the 13-year-old from Montafon, the police explicitly pointed out that the 30-year-old suspect had no migration background. According to reports, the alleged perpetrator is not very willing to provide information – his exact identity has not even been confirmed.
