The police seized more than a kilo of cocaine and more than 0.7 kilos of heroin during two official acts in the Vienna districts of Margareten and Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus on Tuesday. The starting point was always to observe and follow up on street deals.
Already in the morning, some people tried to buy drugs from a 41-year-old Serbian citizen in Eichenstrasse. The EGS observed what was happening and stopped the three. They arrested the 41-year-old. Soon after, his cell phone started ringing. The investigators replied, on the other side was a 22-year-old Serb who wanted to sell the 41-year-old drugs and did not realize he was talking to law enforcement.
Investigators have trapped dealers
EGS detectives arranged a meeting with the suspect where they arrested him. When they searched his home, they found a large amount of drugs and cash. The investigators also became aware of another 30-year-old Serbian citizen. His apartment was also searched and the police also found drugs there.

The detectives continued to monitor the 40-year-old and struck up another heroin deal, this time with a 33-year-old Afghan citizen. Again they let go of the salesman and looked at him. They engaged in a brief chase with the second buyer, who disposed of narcotics before being stopped. About ten grams of heroin was seized from him.
Dealer arrested in hotel
The EGS detectives eventually arrested the dealer in a hotel. They found about 165 grams of heroin, three grams of herbal cannabis and 1,170 euros in cash on him. The 40-year-old refused to testify and was taken into police custody. The two buyers filed a complaint against the EGS.
