A 19-year-old driver fled the police on Wednesday at more than 200 km / h. The boy wanted to avoid being arrested, after which he caused a serious accident in Vienna on the A23, the southeastern tangent. Several people were injured.
On the A2 near Wiener Neudorf, officials became aware of the 19-year-old speeder at around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the police, the boy was driving at a very high speed. When he tried to stop the driver, he fled and drove away from the management at more than 200 km/h.
The car hit a wall and overturned
When the 19-year-old violently drove between a bus and a car to change lanes, he suddenly hit both vehicles, eventually causing the stranger’s car to crash into the concrete wall, then roll over and come to rest on its roof . The accident driver crashed into the tunnel wall and came to a stop with his car.
The scene of the accident had to be extensively cordoned off by the Viennese police. Several teams from the Vienna Professional Rescue Service were present and performed emergency medical care for the injured. The alleged driver of the accident was seriously injured, his passenger (19) and the occupants of the other car (17 and 18 years old) were only slightly injured.
