A felled tree fell on a car on a forest road in Kleinarl in Salzburg. Two people (71 and 93) were injured.
In Wagrain (Pongau) a car was hit by a recently felled tree on Thursday afternoon. The motorist (71) ignored the barrier of the forest workers and drove into the closed area. The driver and her passenger (93) suffered serious injuries. The tree hit the car in the hood, throwing it several feet down the slope.
Fire department salvaged car
One of the two injured had to be transported by helicopter. An ambulance took the second person to the hospital in Schwarzach.
The Kleinarl fire department was eventually able to recover the car with the winch and pulleys.
