In Spain, year-on-year inflation was 2.3% in July, four-tenths higher than in June.

The inflation rate for July has risen to 2.6% in the Basque Autonomous Community and to 2.4% in Navarre, three and four-tenths above the YoJ rate registered in June respectively.
In monthly terms (from June to July) the consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.2% in the BAC and by 0.6% in Navarra.
So far this yearinflation increased by 2.9% in the BAC and by 2.5% in Navarre.
Across Spain, the year-on-year CPI rose to 2.3%, four-tenths more than in June.
Year-on-year inflation accelerated in July, mainly due to higher prices for fuels in a month in which the price of food and drink increased by 10.8%.
On the other hand, the Underlying inflation (general index excluding unprocessed foods or energy products) has risen by three-tenths and fell to 6.2%, making the difference with the general CPI almost four points.
