Officers from the Eberndorf Police Inspectorate rushed Friday afternoon to rescue a buck trapped in a bridge railing. The animal is freed.
The roebuck got stuck in a bridge railing on the B82 in the Völkermarkt district of Kühnsdorf around 12:20 p.m. Officials from the Eberndorf Police Inspectorate rushed to help the animal. By the time the police arrived, the goat had already put its head and both front legs through the vertical steel bars. “Its two back legs hung in the direction of the road and the buck could not move forward or backward,” police said.

The officials requested the Eberndorf Fire Department to support them. Before they arrived, officials were able to stop a utility vehicle belonging to a plumbing company. The employees immediately provided professional support and a steel bar could be sawn off with the help of a battery hand saw. The roebuck was released unharmed and released back into the wild.
