Horses are skittish animals – a rider (33) in the Mühlviertel had to learn that painfully. Her jacket fell off while she was driving. Her mare was frightened, the athlete fell out of the saddle in the street and was so injured that she flew to the hospital in Linz by helicopter.
A rider (33) from the Freistadt district rode out on Friday at 4.15 pm with a seven-year-old American Quarter Horse mare in Schönau im Mühlkreis. When her coat fell off the horse and startled the animal, the woman fell head over heels from the horse onto the gravel road.

With injuries of undetermined extent, the rider was taken to the UKH Linz by the emergency medical team of the rescue helicopter “Christophorus 10”.
