Lost control – paraglider “caught” in tree at 10 meters

The paraglider flight for a German (64) ended on Saturday in the tree in Westendorf in the Tyrolean district of Kitzbühel! The pilot had lost control of his glider due to a thermal change. Mountain rescuers rushed to the rescue.

The incident happened around 4:40 p.m. The 64-year-old was climbing on the Choralpe. “He went into a thermal change and lost control of the screen,” the researchers say. The pilot then landed in a tree.

Freed by mountain rescuers
The German got stuck at a height of about ten meters. The troops of the mountain rescue service in Westendorf freed him from his plight. The German was lucky with the breakdown and suffered only minor injuries. He was taken to Kufstein Hospital by helicopter “C 4”.
