A 53-year-old Upper Austrian was traveling with his partner on the L601 from Wildon towards Weitendorf on Sunday morning when he suddenly suffered a medical emergency while driving and possibly lost consciousness briefly.
Collision with car
The Upper Austrian drove his car onto the oncoming lane and collided with the company car of an approaching South Styrian (43). Both vehicles were thrown into the ditch. According to the police, the Upper Austrian couple and the South Styrian may have suffered minor injuries.
Total loss on both vehicles
While the 53-year-old driver was flown by rescue helicopter to the LKH Graz, his partner and the South Styrian were taken by the Red Cross to the LKH Wagna. Both cars were a total loss.
