The works council and management of the company Irizar E-mobility van Aduna reached a preliminary agreement this Friday after 19 days of strike. The staff will continue the strike until the company agreement is fully signed.
In a statement, the Committee stated that this preliminary agreement must be ratified at a workers’ meeting. However, after making a “very positive assessment of what has been achieved so far”, he pointed out that although “the conflict has been resolved, while the corporate pact has been fully clarified and signed, the workers have decided to proceed with to strike”.
The Committee has canceled the demonstration for next Saturday in Andoain (Gipuzkoa). Instead, it will hold an informational concentration at Goiko Plaza in the same municipality at 5:30 PM.
The solidarity festival organized this Saturday in Andoain will also be held and the money raised will go to the workers of Alconza, a company of the Irizar group in Berango, who are on indefinite strike to defend their jobs.
