Alarm at the water rescue on Monday evening in Salzburg: A man of about 30 years old did not appear after swimming in the Hollersbach bathing lake. Swimmers managed to pull the man out of the water. Emergency services eventually managed to resuscitate.
Barely ten minutes after the alarm was sounded, the rescue services and the Red Cross arrived at the swimming pond, spokesman Markus Gewolf said in a broadcast. Swimmers had pulled the man in distress from the water and brought him to a small island.
CPR successful
The emergency services immediately started CPR. The helpers then took the man to shore and handed him over to an ambulance. Rescue eventually took him to the hospital. Nothing is known about the further state of health.
