Since noon and still in full swing, a dramatic search has been going on on the Salza in Palfau, Liezen district: a 16-year-old capsized in a kayak and was pulled into the water.
The youth from the Czech Republic was on a kayak trip on the Salza with six other Czech citizens when it happened in the area of the so-called “white water passage”: the youth capsized and fell out of the boat.

The other participants in the kayak trip apparently tried to hold him with all their might, but they couldn’t, the victim was pulled under water by the strong current! For now, he was nowhere to be found.

Since then, the large-scale search has been underway with dozens of people involved, including the water rescue service, the fire brigade and divers, and several helicopters. But so far there is no trace of the young man.
