On Saturday there was a special inspection in his municipality with experts from the country, torrent and avalanche control, the army, the fire brigade and the district administration.
“We are breathing easy. The civil protection alert has been lifted. But of course the slope is being monitored,” says Sadovnik. A laser flight will be carried out next week to record the actual amount of soil. The Feuersberg road to Slovenia remains closed! Sadovnik: “That also applies to cyclists. There are always a few to be found there!” That’s why the police are now checking.
Meanwhile, the storm damage is also being investigated by experts from GeoSphere Austria. “We record exactly what happened where,” says qualified engineer Arben Kociu. Research projects are planned with the University of Vienna in this regard.
