Two children of holidaymakers were injured in a traffic accident in the Tyrolean lowlands on Friday afternoon. Her father was trying to overtake a tractor with a trailer in Kirchdorf (Kitzbühel district) when it suddenly slammed into a field. There was a collision!
The 44-year-old holidaymaker from the United Arab Emirates drove a car on B178 Loferer Straße in Kirchdorf municipality when he wanted to overtake the team. According to the police, however, he overlooked the fact that the tractor driver and the agricultural vehicle turned left into a field at the same time.
Daughter and son injured
The driver could not react in time and the car crashed into the tractor trailer. “The man’s two children – his daughter (11) and his 14-year-old son – were injured in the collision,” police said.
With the rescue to the hospital
After first aid, the holidaymakers’ children were taken by ambulance to the St. Johann district hospital. The B178 was only passable in one lane in the vicinity of the accident site for about an hour and a half.
