A 29-year-old German man was assaulted and threatened with a knife in front of a bar in Linz’s Spittelwiese along with his partner and three other friends around 3 a.m. Saturday by five strangers. There is no trace of the suspects, and an initial search was unsuccessful.
The five strangers had behaved intrusively towards the German’s girlfriend (29) and wanted to photograph the young woman against her will. At her partner’s polite reprimand, one of the strangers pulled a knife and chased the shocked fleeing group of friends for a few yards.
Police ask for information
After the threatened escaped to safety, the five unknown persons also left the crime scene. After an initially unsuccessful search, the Linz Police Station asks Nietzschestrae for information.
