Following Hyundai Mobis’ announcement to acquire the supplier of electric vehicle batteries, the Navarrese Committee has expressed concern over Landaben’s possible “relocation”.
He Volkswagen Navarra Works Council has asked the management of the company for a urgent meeting and the consequence explanation about his investments. Specifically, it has been the announcement of Hyundai Mobis to become the supplier of the batteries that will be used by electric vehicles, which has raised concerns in Landaben.
“If the outsourcing is confirmed, in addition to the factory’s loss of competitiveness, it could be the foundation stone of the relocation of Volkswagen Navarra,” the committee said.
Moreover, the members of this committee concluded in Monday’s meeting that the Boards played a role “very unfavorable” for the interests of the company, as public resources “do not guarantee the minimum investment necessary”.
Finally, the works council has announced that it will meet again to lay the foundations for the next initiatives they will implement.
