New insights – drama in Stadel: Tyrolean probably crushed by hay

The investigation into the case of a 57-year-old who was found dead on Sunday in a hay barn in Umhausen in the Tyrolean district of Imst continued on Wednesday even after the autopsy. And revealed one more detail.

Because according to Hansjörg Mayr, the spokesman for the Public Prosecution Service, the man was apparently crushed by the hay. The police now say that there is “no concrete suspicion”. However, there are no interviews with witnesses yet. It is still unclear exactly how the accident happened.

Large search also with dogs
The Tyrolean brought the hay into the barn with several people on Sunday. Suddenly there was no trace of the 57-year-old. A large-scale search followed with fire brigade, mountain rescue services and search dogs. After cleaning up the hay, he was discovered.
