On Thursday morning, a fire broke out on a farm in the Rhine Valley of Vorarlberg. Fortunately, neither animals nor people were injured.
By noon a huge column of smoke was visible from afar, rising into the sky from Rankweil. The cause was a fire that broke out at 11 a.m. on a horse farm. When the alarmed Floriani disciples arrived on the scene, the barn was already completely on fire. Part of the flames also spread to the residential building, but this was saved – albeit heavily damaged. Unlike the barn, which burned down completely.
Fortunately no one was injured. Neighbors drove the cattle out of the barn in time and the fire brigade subsequently rescued sixteen frightened calves from the flames. It is still unclear why the fire broke out in the first place.
