He drove home – Alkolenker left half the car in the crash

Date:

Half the car was gone, the front of the car still standing next to a lamppost. But somehow the alcoholic in Upper Austria came home by car and told his wife a completely different story. Now witnesses must bring the truth to light.

The police were looking for the evasive driver who had rammed into a street lamp on Wienerstrasse in Asten and then drove away. At least with the part of the car that was still reasonably drivable. Because almost the entire front was still at the scene of the accident.

At about the same time, a woman from the neighborhood called 911 and reported that her 41-year-old husband had just arrived home and that the car was broken down. Presumably someone cut off her husband and that is why he ended up in the ditch.

Just had a beer before the accident?
Upon checking the vehicle, it turned out that it was the car they were looking for. The alcohol test of the 41-year-old gave a value of 1.84 per thousand. The memory of the driver, who said he drank a beer before and after the accident, is not enough. He couldn’t exactly remember the suspected oncoming vehicle.

Although there were witnesses who had not seen another car, the police are playing it safe and are asking other witnesses to contact Enns Police on 059/133-4132.
