Patrick S. recently experienced three hours of fear in Kittsee in Burgenland. The Viennese was lured into a trap by business partners: shot, tied up and threatened with death.
With shaking hands, a nervous look and a series of bloody souvenirs, 39-year-old Patrick S. sits in a coffee house in Hainburg (Lower Austria). The Viennese native probably owes his survival to a touch of fate and a brief moment of indecision on the part of his unscrupulous tormentors.
Shot and tortured by business partner
The former stock market trader and now cryptocurrency specialist based in Slovakia was invited to Kittsee (Bgld.) by a business partner on Friday, October 13. The meeting was supposed to take place in a relaxed atmosphere in the basement, but in the end two perpetrators were only trying to collect the losses from a joint investment by force – thousands of euros were at stake.
Once there, a three-hour ordeal began around 8 p.m. “As soon as I saw the second perpetrator, it was clear to me that something bad was going on. A little later my business partner shot me,” S. explains in bewilderment. Four light bullets from the CO2 pistol were stopped by the jacket, but two hits initially penetrated deep into the stomach. The victim was overwhelmed by abuse, pushed to the ground and eventually placed in a chair with handcuffs and tape around his legs: “Then my boyfriend also got a syringe and shouted at me that he would plant a Russian virus in me if I told him told him he wouldn’t give his money back. “I felt like I was in a bad movie and I wondered when my heart would stop beating,” S. told “Krone.”
Money offer opens the door for escape and EKO Cobra
Absurd: S. also lost a lot of money on the joint project. As a ‘sign of friendship’ he offered to give his tormentors money the next day. The thug duo let him go and the victim reportedly fled to the local hospital. During the subsequent storming of the torture cellar by Cobra and Co. weapons and evidence were secured – but not enough for the Public Prosecution Service, the perpetrators are at large.
“I could have died and the justice system just lets them go. Now I live in constant fear that they will not come back to ambush me.” S. no longer dares to go home and has therefore gone into hiding with friends in Vienna. He will never be able to forget these three hours
