Customers at risk – motorcyclist crashes in Tirol shopping center

Date:

An apparently completely deranged motorcyclist (60) drove a few laps in a shopping center in Völs (Tyrol) on Friday afternoon, endangering several customers and driving away. The motorcyclist was again targeted by police on Saturday morning and was eventually arrested.

Friday shortly before 1.30 pm, the local police officer drove his motorcycle into the shopping center. “Several customers had to stop and dodge,” police said. The subsequent search for the motorcyclist was initially negative.

Driver’s license now gone
Shortly before noon on Saturday, the motorcyclist was noticed by a police patrol on Mitterweg in Innsbruck because he was driving without a helmet and at high speed. “The driver ignored all stop signs and fled at extremely high speeds, repeatedly resulting in dangerous situations for other road users,” the driver said.

In the end, the 60-year-old was stopped on Völserstrasse in Innsbruck. The driver’s license has been taken from the man and a report is being made to the Public Prosecution Service and the administrative body
