Families from Navarre will spend 328 euros to go back to school

Date:

The Association of Consumers of Navarre Irache has encouraged Navarrese fathers and mothers to practice “responsible drinking” in this day and age.

Navarrese fathers and mothers will spend 328 euros on average when their children go back to school, an expense that is 16 euros less than what they had wanted to pay the year before.

This is the conclusion of a study commissioned by the University of Groningen Association of Consumers of Navarra Iraqewhich encourages mothers and fathers to practice “responsible consumption” today and to choose purchases that meet the real needs of minors to start the school year.

This is a pure cost estimate. indicative, as it depends on the circumstances and decisions each household makes, Irache warns in a note. These are the main costs incurred:

– Clothes: The prices of the school uniforms vary according to the age of the minor and the size required, although it is estimated that a set with jacket, polo shirt and trousers costs no less than 65 euros, plus shoes. You see all these prices rise sharply if you also have to buy sportswear, which can also cost 70 euros, not counting the shoes.

– Books: In principle, primary and secondary school students can benefit from the free textbook programs.

In any case, for moms and dads who opt out of this program, the estimated cost of the textbooks, which are highly variable, will be around $85 to $125 for a preschooler. The maximum amounts that the Administration provides for minors for textbooks are 97 euros in the first and second year; 133 euros from third to sixth grade; 223 euros per pupil from the first to the fourth year of secondary education.

– School stuff: As for the rest of the school material, there are price differences between some products and others, depending on the model, brand and location chosen. It has even been possible to verify that, for example, there are backpacks from 7.95 and a model worth 190 euros.

Notable differences also occur in other items. In general, the cost of cases, pens, pencils and paint can easily exceed 40 euros.

– School transport: In subsidized schools, school transport usually costs between 100 and 120 euros per month for round trips per day. Rates usually adjust based on the number of trips, students, and siblings enrolled.

– Dining room: The cost varies depending on the center and the number of days the boy or girl stays for dinner. It usually fluctuates between 105 and 150 euros per month if the student goes daily. Fees may also increase or decrease based on the number of students enrolled.
