Holidaymaker injured – brake failed at “Flying Fox” in Pinzgau

Because the brakes on the zip line in Wald-Königsleiten (Salzburg) did not work properly, a 22-year-old girl ended up in hospital with broken ribs on Friday.

The ‘Flying Fox’ in Wald-Königsleiten killed a holidaymaker (22). Because the braking system did not work properly, the athlete reached the bottom too quickly. On site, an employee even tried to intercept her, but she still hit the restraint cushion at the exit at high speed.

Multiple injuries
She sustained an abrasion to her left knee as a result of the impact and complained of abdominal pain. A broken rib and abrasions on the left knee were diagnosed at the Tauernklinikum Mittersill. The slide is out of service until the technical inspection, the police reports.
