Two brutal knife attacks took place in Vienna on Saturday. In both cases, the victims were seriously injured and there is no trace of the suspects. The investigations continue at full speed.
The first attack took place near the Naschmarkt. A man alerted the police after he was hit on the head by two unknown men for no reason. As if that wasn’t enough, they stabbed the victim several times with the knife and fled shortly afterwards. After treatment, the man was rushed to hospital by paramedics. He is not in danger.
Second attack in favourites
Saturday evening there was also a brutal knife attack among the favourites. An argument between two men escalated at the central station. Before that, they had attacked each other with their fists. Shortly afterwards, one of the two drew a knife, stabbed his opponent several times and fled shortly afterwards. The victim was also taken to hospital after receiving emergency medical care.
Strangers keep fleeing
The Vienna police have launched an investigation into both cases. So far, however, the search for the unknown perpetrators has failed.
