The accident happened around 8:40 am. The 20-year-old drove his car on the Inntalautobahn A12 in Wörgl from Kufstein towards Innsbruck. “The driver wanted to leave the highway at the Wörgl West exit,” said the director. For reasons still unknown, the Tyrolean went over the left edge of the road in heavy rain.
Taken to hospital
“He collided with a traffic sign that was between the entrance and exit of the highway.” The driver sustained injuries and had to be taken to Kufstein Hospital. There was serious damage to both the road sign and the car.
