A ship carrying 170 migrants has spent four days outside Mauritania, waiting to disembark

Mauritanian authorities have denied the landing since Thursday. The Spanish and African governments have a cooperation agreement that makes the return possible. “The situation on board the ship is calm,” the interior ministry said.

The vigilante ship Río Tajo has been at anchor for more than four days since last Thursday 168 migrants on board in the bay of Nouadhibou, in Mauritaniapending negotiations between the authorities to proceed with disembarkation in this African country, the interior ministry said.
