A 37-year-old motorist from the Leoben district who drove behind him and a 53-year-old motorist from Germany were also able to stop their vehicles.

A 33-year-old Croatian woman, living in Germany, and a 36-year-old driver of an articulated car from Turkey following them failed to slow down their vehicles in time and collided with the vehicles in front of them. them. The Deutschfreistritz fire department deployed four vehicles and 19 workers, installed fire protection and tied up the leaked equipment.

A total of three children aged two, five and six were in the two German cars. All were taken to the LKH Graz as a precaution. The five-year-old suffered a cut to the head. The Schartnerkogel tunnel was closed in both directions from 2 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
