Spartan camp – Ukrainians storm Russian camp in forest

Date:

Ukrainian troops surrounded a Russian camp near Lyman and took the soldiers into custody. What is especially striking: the equipment of the Kremlin troops is very spartan. The men don’t even have proper tents – they had to sleep under thin plastic sheeting. The cooking and washing areas also indicate an unacceptable situation for the military.

In the east of the country, Ukraine manages to recapture territory piece by piece. A video has now been published on social media that is supposed to show the storming of a Russian camp “after an intense firefight”, as one Twitter user writes.

Camp Amenities: Paper plates and a few buckets of water
The camp looks more like it is inhabited by homeless people: piles of rubbish lie next to the sleeping places. This could be the dining area. Apparently the soldiers depend on camping and paper plates for their food. Another shot shows an area that could be intended for washing: a few buckets of water.

Ukrainian counter-offensive in Donetsk region progresses
The annexation of the four
The areas in Ukraine largely occupied by our own troops were signed in a ceremony in the Kremlin on Friday. The annexation of Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Kherson is not recognized internationally. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military is making progress in its counter-offensive in the Donetsk region, according to the Russian-installed governor. In the strategically important city of Lyman, Russian forces threatened another heavy defeat that would overshadow celebrations in Moscow for the annexation of about 15 percent of Ukraine’s state territory.
