The consumer price index (CPI) has raised its interannual rate by three-tenths, to 2.6%, according to data released by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) this Wednesday.
The upward trend in annual inflation is mainly due to the increase in fuel and liquid fuel prices.
Core inflation, which excludes unprocessed food and energy products, fell by a tenth year on year to 6.1%.
In July, the interannual CPI for the Spanish state rose four-tenths to 2.3%.
The advance data for August is due to be confirmed by INE by the middle of next month.
