On Friday night, residents of Pskov complained about shots fired in the Russian city. However, Telegram channels reported numerous new drone attacks.
Pskov region governor Mikhail Vedernikov said an “unknown object” had been discovered near the airport. According to him, the residents wanted to take it away themselves and started shooting at it.
Transport aircraft destroyed
Pskov airport was hit by a swarm of drones on Wednesday night. Among other things, transport aircraft of the Ilyushin Il-76 type are stationed there, which are deployed by pilots of the 76th Guards Air Assault Division of the Russian army. These include the 234th Airborne Regiment from Pskov, which was identified during the fighting around Bucha in March 2022. Reporters blame it for targeting civilians in the area. In the course of the attack in Pskov, four of the Il-76 aircraft were reported to have been destroyed and two others damaged.
Attack on Kursk Oblast
The Kursk Oblast was also attacked again: two drones made the area unsafe. According to Governor Roman Starovojt, an administrative building and a residential building were damaged. Emergency services are currently on site.
Attack on Moscow Oblast, flights suspended
Moscow Oblast was also targeted again. As the mayor of the Russian capital announced on Telegram, this time another attack was recorded near the city of Lyubertsy. Air traffic at Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Zhukovsky airports in Moscow was restricted on Friday morning. The reason was a drone.
