The missiles are therefore part of a new military aid package that will be presented next week. One of the US officials said the forthcoming package would be worth between $240 million and $375 million, depending on its contents.
There is no comment from the US government. Britain has already supplied uranium munitions to Ukraine. Moscow was already outraged in March by the then only planned delivery of uranium munitions.
‘Most harmful ammunition for humans’
President Vladimir Putin warned against its use. Uranium munitions are “among the most harmful and dangerous to humans” because the uranium core creates radioactive dust and pollutes the soil. “It is no exaggeration that we have hundreds of thousands of these types of missiles,” he said. However, so far they have not been used.
