An evening of romping for five-year-olds in Vienna’s Liesing district ended on Thursday with great happiness: the toddler was jumping up and down in bed when he suddenly fell out of the window. The boy ended up in a bush and apparently escaped completely unharmed.
The five-year-old was in the first-floor apartment with his 20-year-old sister and 14-year-old brother at around 8:15 p.m. when the accident happened. The child was frolicking in the bed, which was directly below an open window. Then the accident happened: the boy fell out of the window and got into a bush.
No injuries could be determined externally. To be on the safe side, the Vienna Professional Rescue Service took the five-year-old to hospital.
