The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelensky, has replaced the Commander of the Armed Forces Territorial Forces, Yurii Halushkin. He has appointed Major General Ihor Tantsiura in his place.
He did not provide any further information about the dismissal.
Halushkin was appointed commander of the Ukrainian Territorial Forces on 1 January last.
In his usual late-night speech, Zelensky said yesterday that from today, Monday, a week will begin with “a lot of international activity” to get “arms and financial support for Ukraine” to begin rebuilding what “has ruined Russia”.
