The driver from the Hollabrunn district is said to have lost control of her machine on the B39 in the municipality of Kirchberg an der Pielach in a bend for reasons that are still unclear and crashed into the crash barrier, according to a broadcast. The impact threw her over the guardrail and ended up in the Pielach.
Following road users set the rescue chain in motion. Emergency services evacuated the injured from the river. The seriously injured had to be flown with the “Christophorus 15” to the Donauspital in Vienna.
