Two police officers narrowly escaped from the blaze during a wildfire in Spokane, Washington state. The bodycam of one of the two men films the nerve-racking ride through the flaming hell (see video above).
Officer Brittan Morgan and his associate Deputy Nave attended to a local resident during the devastating wildfire near the city of Spokane in mid-August (but footage has only just been released; dim.). But the man was desperate to save his cattle and stayed behind despite the approaching flames.
“I don’t want to die here!”
The two officers eventually fled the fire in their cars. Suddenly the police officers were surrounded by the flames, the only option was to flee forward. ‘Damn gas, Nave! I don’t want to die here!” Morgan can be heard in the video.
Both police officers eventually escaped the blaze. The local resident, who had wanted to save his cattle, also came by shortly afterwards with his car. The wildfire dubbed the “Oregon Road Fire” is now nearly 90 percent under control.
Evacuations ordered due to fire
Evacuations had been ordered in the small town of Medical Lake, near Spokane, the largest city in eastern Washington state, and near a US Air Force base.
