Stable, except for acute mortal danger – it’s good news from Wels hospital. A 39-year-old underwent emergency surgery there after being impaled by a fence post.
“The patient is stable, but is still being treated in intensive care,” says Renate Gruber of the Wels Clinic to “Krone”. Almost a small miracle after the serious accident, because on Saturday we had to fear the worst.
Severe fall from ladder
As is known, the man in St. Marienkirchen an der Polsenz fell off the ladder when he cut off a branch in his father’s garden. And so bad that he fell on his back on the metal fence post and was impaled on a post.
The victim was taken to hospital with the bent fence post in his body, where he underwent emergency surgery. Apparently, the 39-year-old had a guardian angel and the stake did not injure any vital organs or open major blood vessels.
