‘Extremely dangerous’ – Ten years in prison for neo-Nazi rapper ‘Mr. band”

Date:

The neo-Nazi rapper “Mr. Bond” was found guilty of nearly the full scope of the charges in the Vienna regional court Thursday afternoon and sentenced to ten years in prison for Nazi activities. The court ruled that the 37-year-old was “particularly dangerous”.

His co-defendant younger brother listed four years unconditionally. The statements are not final. The brothers asked for time to think about it, the public prosecutor initially gave no explanation.

As the judge explained in the verdict, there was a “special danger” that the prosecutor’s office of “Mr. Bond” cannot simply dismiss. His songs were downloaded “a few hundred thousand times” on the Internet. This demand is “special attractive to young listeners” and “invites to imitate”, according to the judge. With a sentence of up to 20 years, the imposed sentence appears to be proportionate to the guilt and the crime.

Tribute to Christchurch Assassins
Born in Lienz, he also distributed a video paying tribute to the Christchurch attacker in New Zealand, who killed 51 people in two mosques in March 2019. He also translated his “Manifest” into German. In his rap songs, the man claimed the alleged supremacy of the white race. According to the indictment, the right-wing extremist violent criminal who tried to break into a synagogue in Halle an der Saale, Germany on October 9, 2019, used one of his numbers and killed two people nearby when he was unsuccessful. The man had started the planned live stream of the failed assassination attempt on the Jewish community with a piece of “Mr. Bond” with musical background.

No expressions of displeasure
Both “Mr. Bond” and his younger brother, who had also been sentenced to several years in prison, remained calm after the verdict was passed. Even in the courtroom, which was almost full to the last seat, there were no expressions of discontent. Among the mostly young listeners, there were hardly any fans of the right-wing rapper.

Rapper pleads ‘fully guilty’
“All the allegations are correct,” said “Mr. Bond,” stated Tuesday at the start of the negotiations. He pleaded “completely guilty” and explained: “I realized in custody that was wrong. I was blinded and only now do I realize the scope of my actions.”

No attempts to disrupt during the main session
Before the trial, like-minded people on Telegram had called for declarations of solidarity for their accused idol. For security reasons, the process was therefore monitored by state security and heavily armed Wega officials. During the two-day main session, however, there were no attempted disturbances.
