Attacks and fire – drone shot down near Putin residence

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced on Tuesday evening that a total of three drones had been deflected. They would have had the Russian capital in their sights. One was even shot near a home of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the information, two drones were shot down by air defense systems over the Kaluga and Tver regions, bordering Moscow. Sobyanin specified that a drone was killed in the village of Zavidovo, near the residence of the Kremlin head.

Another unmanned aerial vehicle is said to have damaged a consumer center in the Istra district. As a result, the building caught fire. Istra is 65 kilometers from the Kremlin.

Russian media also draw attention to the fact that some flights at Moscow airports have been postponed or canceled. In August, drone attacks on the Russian capital increased significantly. Ukraine is covered.
