A 15-year-old from Eastern Styria reported rape to the police after an event at Oktoberfest. After attending the festival in Hartberg, the girl took a taxi home. She had shared the path with a 31-year-old Afghan.
The girl had already been to the Oktoberfest near her hometown on September 17, and arranged a taxi after 3 a.m. The 31-year-old also wanted to use the taxi with her to go to the city.

When the 15-year-old then got out at her home, the man is said to have also got out. Then the rape would have taken place. The teen reported the 31-year-old right after. He was discovered and arrested a few days later.
The Graz prosecutor’s office confirmed that the man was in prison in Graz-Jakomini. The Afghan denies the assault.
