A serious accident occurred on Monday morning during forest work near Guttaring. A 24-year-old forest worker from the Wolfsberg district was alone with felling work. The company boss was about 50 meters away and became suspicious when he could no longer hear the young man’s chainsaw.
Lying under a felled tree
The boss was worried and then went to look at the worker. He found the young man lying under a fallen tree. After he was able to free him, he immediately called the rescue service. The emergency doctor who arrived could only confirm death. The company boss himself had to be taken to the hospital in Friesach in shock.
