In Lohr am Main, Bavaria, a boy (14) was found dead on the grounds of a school center. Another young person is a suspect, German media report.
The police confirmed the incident on Friday to ‘Bild’, among others. According to a police spokesperson, officers were informed by a young person around 4:30 PM that a body had been found. He told the police station that his acquaintance had murdered another person. The security forces then drove to the school center and found the youth there. It was initially unclear whether the victim was still alive at the time. Ultimately, a rescue team was only able to determine death.
Pretrial detention?
About an hour and a half after this event, the young suspect was finally arrested at his place of residence. It will be investigated on Saturday whether pre-trial detention will be imposed against him or not.
In Bavaria, Friday was the last day of the summer holidays. Lohr am Main is located between Würzburg and Aschaffenburg and has approximately 15,000 inhabitants.
