Numerous accidents – employee of the public order office was hit and fled

Date:

Several traffic accidents occurred on Carinthia’s roads on Saturday. In addition, an employee of the Public Order Bureau was hit and the driver fled.

A motorcyclist from Upper Austria was injured on Saturday morning when a diesel pipe burst on a coach on the steep Maltahochalm road towards the Kölnbreinsperre. The 23-year-old slipped and fell on her bicycle in a right-hand bend through a diesel track.

Another accident involving a motorcycle took place just a few kilometers away on the Katschbergstrasse from Spittal towards Gmünd. There, a motorcyclist (67) from St. Veit left the road and ended up in the vicinity of oncoming traffic, collided with the guardrail and was injured.

Escaped after an accident
A woman from Germany fled the scene of the accident. She had previously run over an employee of the Harley Week security service in Velden. The 58-year-old wanted to help pedestrians cross the street safely in Velden, but was hit by the car and fell to the ground. The driver, who was initially unknown, did not stop. However, the accident victim remembered the license plate number and reported it to the police.

An accident also took place at an intersection in Nötsch. There, a motorist (63) from Villach Land and a moped driver (16) collided. The young man, also from Villach Land, fell and had to be taken to the Villach regional hospital.
