A train hit four people near Barcelona on Sunday. Three of them were killed and the fourth person was seriously injured. The group tried to cross the tracks without permission when darkness fell, the civil protection authority said on Platform X (formerly Twitter).
A total of seven people traveled together. The accident took place near Montmeló station. Accidents often occur on these suburban train routes when people try to cross the tracks instead of using pedestrian underpasses.
