The Viennese police are currently searching at full speed for a suspect who allegedly committed several thefts from pensioners. A published mugshot should provide further clues.
The unknown man is suspected of stealing the debit card of an 81-year-old in Vienna-Floridsdorf in mid-April after distracting and deceiving the pensioner. Shortly afterwards he fled and withdrew a three-figure sum. Fortunately, the ATM camera was able to take pictures of the suspect.
Put it in the jacket pocket
Two days later, the suspect targeted another pensioner in Vienna-Favoriten. He took advantage of the man’s politeness, spoke to him and put his hand in the 78-year-old’s jacket pocket. He stole a four-figure sum of money. There has been no trace of the suspect since then. Police are asking for more information.
Information (also anonymous) is requested from the Kürschnergasse police station on 01-31310-64343.
