Flood in Greece – Graz Association mourns the loss of an injured couple

Date:

A newly married couple from Graz fell victim to the heavy storms in Greece – we reported. The two were an integral part of the city’s skater scene. In an emotional post, the GRÄB (Grazer Rollbrett Ästheten Bund) association said goodbye to both of them.

Just a few days ago, the Foreign Ministry confirmed that the two bodies found after the heavy storms in Greece were those of a newly married couple from Graz. The sadness is not only great among the families of the two, but also in the skater community of Graz, in which the duo was firmly anchored. The Facebook message in which the Graz association GRÄB (Grazer Rollbrett Ästheten Bund) now says goodbye to the two is correspondingly heartbreaking.

“Unique in memory”
“It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce that Phil Gosch and Michaela Gosch (née Tritthart) are no longer with us. Our condolences go out to the families and everyone who was close to them,” it reads. About Phil it is said: “Phil was not only a figurehead of the Graz and Austrian skate community, but above all a good friend. His down-to-earth manner, combined with his biting insults, will remain unique in our memories.”

A few years ago, a childhood friend, Michaela Tritthart, returned to his life – she was also a passionate skater: “Michaela’s cheerful and fundamentally good character complemented Gosch’s style and vice versa. The relationship between the two was one of love full of mutual appreciation and admiration. An inner connection that they radiated when they were together.”

The wedding and honeymoon were followed by the tragedy that tore her from her life. At the end of the emotional contribution, the Graz club writes: “We hope and firmly believe that their last days and weeks together were the best times of their lives together.”
