Serious accident in Wildermieming in the Tyrolean district of Innsbruck-Land on Tuesday: the caravan of a 75-year-old’s car suddenly came loose while driving. He crashed into a bus stop. A woman (53) was injured by flying windows.
The accident happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. The 75-year-old drove the car and caravan on the B189 from Mieming towards Telfs. “While driving, the tow bar came loose for an unknown reason,” said the driver.
Cuts all over the body
The trailer then crashed into a bus stop waiting for a shelter. “The collision shattered a window at the bus stop. A 53-year-old woman who was waiting there suffered cuts all over her body from flying shards of glass.”
The woman was admitted to the clinic in Innsbruck. There was serious damage to both the caravan and the bus stop.
