A team from the Swedish television channel TV4 was attacked by a Russian drone in the frontline area of southeastern Ukraine.
TV4 reporter Johan Fredriksson and photographer Daniel Zdolsek were unharmed in Tuesday’s incident, the broadcaster reported. However, their local producer and two Ukrainian police officers who accompanied the journalists were slightly injured. Her car and camera equipment were completely destroyed.
Drone hit trunk
The actions of the local police probably saved lives, the station writes. “We were lucky this time. The Russian missile that was shot down by a drone that we heard hit our car right in the trunk. Fortunately, there was no one in the car,” said Fredriksson.
Russian fighter jet crashes during training flight
An Su-34 fighter jet crashed during a training flight in Russia’s western Voronezh region, according to official reports. The plane’s two-man crew “catapulted out and was taken to the home airport,” the Defense Ministry in Moscow said. So both pilots are doing fine.
The plane crashed far from a city and had no ammunition on board. There is no damage to the floor. “The cause of the crash could have been a technical defect,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
