Jens L., operator of an adventure and family hotel in Obervellach, offers a rather unusual holiday combination. He wants to make it possible for guests to hold swinger parties from October 6. Neighbors from the community of Upper Carinthia raised the alarm, the operator responded and the authorities checked.
The residents don’t like it at all: “That would be in the middle of the village! A disaster.”
Insider offer
According to the operator, the offer should have remained secret. “I only promoted ‘The Yellow House’ on certain forums for insiders – because people with such preferences want to remain anonymous!” he says. The offer for swingers is also strictly separated from family holidays. “It’s not a club, it’s rooms that can be booked,” L. doesn’t understand the excitement. “No one notices anything from the outside.” This is also confirmed by the local inspection “Krone”.
According to Jens L., this sexual preference is nothing unusual in hotels. “Anyone who thinks this kind of thing doesn’t happen in other well-known hostels is sorely mistaken. I am simply offering this group a room, which has nothing to do with prostitution.”
Inspection by authorities
The link to the “Yellow House” was also sent to Mayor Arnold Klemm. “It is extremely annoying for the neighborhood. But as long as everything only happens within the rooms and no nuisance arises, nothing happens.” The authorities were called in. “We will be on site on Tuesday to check the legal situation,” said district captain Klaus Brandner.
